Looks very good... One question I would have is why are you choosing a wand and offhand over a staff... I would recommend a Death Magic staff... collecters is 20/20.. then with an Insightful Staff head its +15 energy compared to the 12 from offhand.. you can still kill the nightmeres the same way... and then you can get a staff wrap of Fortitude or Defense, whatever you prefer... for the area the +7 armor (vs physical) would prob. be better than the one of defense.
Also..is your 10 points into Death Magic really worth it... I know your using it for your Elite... which I was a bit hesitant about...is Disease and weakness worth your elite slot.. lets see!
Your inflicting the following..
Barbed Trap~ Damge + Cripple + Bleeding
Dust Trap~ Damage + Blind
Flame Trap~ Damage + Burning
Virulance~ Weakness + Disease
You Could be inflicting the Following..
Barbed Trap~ Damage + Cripple + Bleeding
Dust Trap~ Damage + Blind
Flame Trap~ Damage + Burning
Vipers Nest~ Damage + Poison
Spike Trap {e}~ Damage + Cripple + knockdown
The whole point of a trapper Build is spike damage... so my first suggestion would be to max out WS... always when trapping. My next suggestion would be Lose the Death Magic... your keeping it for weakness and disease... weakness might lower their attack dmg but does not inflict there health in any way... so your elite isn't causing any dmg except for disease which gives them a -4 health degen for I dunno how long with death at 10... I believe the -4 from poison and the damage from vipers nest.... without it being an elite would be much more worth it. Then you also get the full effect of the spike when they are knocked down from your elite trape
Also with the additonal spike damage from the extra traps the smites are no problem... so you can compete the entire smite run and not just the chamber. I have also messed around a bit replacing Spike Trap {e} with Trappers Focus {e} and keep laying trap after trap and can still finish the entire run. This makes it more profitable seeing the smite drops are better and you run into 1-2 chest per run! I also use the "Trapper" staff from the ascolon quest seeing i'm old school and its +18 energy... I also carry Flints which is +15 energy and +30 health in case I take some damage!
Also... your putting points into curses for more weakness.... I would also lose that.

didn't know that, well with the traps I listed solo-trapping the uw smite run is no problem at all, still kinda slow but very effeciant

Yes as Impy states that the ecto are selling for less (it was going for 5-5.5k just before factions came out). Well I'll try as a ViM trapper. R/W represent! Now maybe I can solo UW and FoW with my R/W. How could I ever consider deleting my preciousssss?

Very nice build and wonderful thinking.
Have you thought of using Mark of Pain in your build for some more added spike damage from the traps? I have used MoP for a bit on my trapping farm runs (though not in UW) and it works wonders along with the standard traps.

hi m8 and thx alot for your build i love my ranger but if i dont go with him at uw2
is not so good for farming because i ll do all the farms in M55 or N55 ou Warior but your build is very good thinked at and very very fun i like so much the ideea to combining ranger with death necro . it works fine and you did a very nice job--> keep discoveying builds like that you gived my ranger the smile again

Thanks for your input everyone.
I'm not sure how this ended up in the farming forum - it wasn't meant to be a farming build. Just a ranger build for soloing the Aatxes !
The beauty of VIRULENCE is that it causes weakness,disease AND poison . So with 1 spell you get -8 degen and weakness so you can take a few hits from the Aatxes.
I'm sure it can be improved especially with some of the new factions skills and items. Undead Preacher - i'll give your tips a go !
I do like the benefit weakness gives you against the Aatxes as they somtimes still hit you even when blind.
Hi Jaykill2003 - I just used good old Windows Movie Maker and captured the action mainly with fraps.

With the release of Nightfall came the ability to create a staff that gives a bonus of twenty energy (as long as your health is above 50%, of course), which is a small yet welcome improvement over the previous maximum of eighteen energy from the famous "Trapper's Staff". Perhaps I will give this build a go after I pick up one of those new staves... I always have loved trapping.
